Stay Wild Jollydaze Gift Guide: Part Four

Stay Wild

Happy Jollydaze! Here's Part Four of our Gift Guide. Fuck it, buy this stuff for yourself!

Chris Burkard makes your favorite cold-water surfing photos! So why not have this large-format book full of them? This photographer is the real deal and probably in the middle of a life-risking adventure right now and if you buy this book from him you'll be pitching in to help him do more inspiring work.

Finex pans will make you a better looking cook around the campfire or in your cute little kitchen.

Locals are the official rubbah slippah of the Hawaiian islands. They even sell these buggas at the gas stations & grocery stores. Eh, bra! Get da kin, yeah!

The Roark Revival makes manly stuff for manly men. They're all about adventure and helping you not look like a fucking tool while you're out doing your awesome thing.

Poler made a game-changing tent this year. Now all tents are going to have super colorful fun patterns. Deal with it!

Snow Peak + Nau = LOOOOVE! We love this whole collaboration between two of the sexiest brands on the market today. This kimono trench coat takes the cake though.

Poler & Airblaster's Ninja Suit teamed up to make a classic pair of long-john's with a national forest meets space ninja outfit. You'll be seeing a lot of these at the lodge, around the campfire and hanging from a branch next to the hot spring in 2015.

Holga cameras are fun toys that everyone should play with. That's all we have to say about that.

The Athletic makes good breathable socks. Everyone loves socks. Especially people who use their feet. So get some new socks

Picture Organic makes great snow gear. Some of it makes you look like an astronaut on acid, but that's actually a pretty good look for you.

Alite Designs make super fun outdoor gear. If you need more joy in your life get something from them, go outside, and high-5 the world.

Brushwood makes nice wooden shades. Wood is better than the usual plastic because it's a renewable resource. You should buy things that don't fuck the world up so much!

Stay Wild Jollydaze Gift Guide: Part Three

Stay Wild

We're going crazy over here getting all this fucking shit done in just the St. Nick of time. Ahhhh! Hate this...I mean, ummmmm.... Happy Jollydaze! Here's Part Two of our Gift Guide. It's mostly stuff we want to buy ourselves, but maybe it'll give you some ideas too.

Biltwell makes the most joyful helmets on the market. We won't be happy till we see every biker, skaters, bicyclists, mountaineer, and VW bus driver wearing one of these.

Edgevale comes out of Oakland which is pretty close to Yosemite. Maybe that's why their clothes look like something fully approved by John Muir.

Bureo Skateboards are made from recycled fish nets. That's good for the ocean and it's good for you when you want to cruise down the block to grab a fish taco.

Sitka is mostly know for making sexy clothes for the Pacific Northwest, but they also make some random goods that are super useful and cooler than polar bear toe nails.

Uppercut Deluxe helps dudes not be so ugly. Come on guys, it's not that hard to make a little effort for the rest of the world. If we have to look at you while you're being awesome make it good!

Beast and Babe makes rad dog stuff for rad dog lovers. Be nice to your fuzzy friends this Jollydaze!

Evil Good Underground makes a lot of inspired stuff, but this coffin surfboard deserved a Nobel Peace Prize! You paddle out with this baby and people will give you their waves just to see the board move.

Bush Smarts make smart stuff for the bush. Mostly its simple camp cookery stuff, but these spoons look so simple and natural they must have been pulled right out of a beaver damn.

Pack NW just started making these rucksacks. They look even better than the Hobo Tote we reviewed and use daily to haul stuff to the post office on the bike in the rain.

The North Face makes great snow gear. Next time we go snow boarding on the Big Island of Hawaii's Mauna Kea we know just what to wear!

Indosole reused old motorcycle tires for the soles of their shoes. That alone is reason enough to grab a pair, but they also have some killer designs.

The Sitka Society for Conservation

Stay Wild

If you've been with us for a while you know we've got a super soft spot for the folks at Sitka. We love the stuff they make and how they make it! Plus, nobody does a better job of making NW surf look sexy.

Now they've gone next level and gotten all philanthropic by starting a non-profit called the Sitka Society for Conservation and they give it 1% of all the sales they make.

The Society is all about building a community around the conservation campfire. Although there are lots of organizations out there like this and you probably donate time and money to them already you should still be excited. If Sitka can make NW surf sexy, just think of them making conservation sexy. Heck, couldn't hurt.

Gift Guide: Part Two

Stay Wild

Shit! We haven't even made a list of who we have to buy for yet. I mean... Happy Jollydaze! Here's Part Two of our Gift Guide. It's mostly stuff we want to buy ourselves, but maybe it'll give you some ideas too.

James Brand makes sharp useful knives in Portland, Oregon. Their geodesic surfboard logo is pretty cool and makes us think the knife was designed for knife-fighting sharks. Why not?

Wolf Child is for the wild ones. The fire stokers, the moon howlers, and the lovers of good t-shirts & times.

We've all got tools, make-up, fishing gear, art supplies, rock collections, and stuff that we need to keep organized. Hand Eye Supply has loads of ways to keep your shit together.

We love Iron & Resin's whole vibe. The way they bring surf and motorcycle culture together is perfect. You know this waxed canvas vest would kick it at the beach before burning rubber up in the foothills.

Eagle Nest Outfitters makes all kinds of hammocks. The best might be this jungle bug proof one. We want it! Will you buy it for us? Thanks.

Bike commuters and road racers around the world can agree on one thing; Rapha makes the finest gear. Especially these rain jackets. They make you lighter, faster, and smarter-looking.

The Mowgli boys have been busy this year making cooler and cooler stuff. Stuff that makes us want to party and play in the sand all night long, so we'll be the first ones out in the water for dawn patrol.

You know the old phrase, "If you love them give them kombucha." We've been drinking these beer-replacers on the daily and honestly think that a case of Brew Dr. Kombucha would make the perfect gift for the kombucha-lover in your life.

Blue Bear Outside makes gear that's classic and modern at the same time, it's a paradox of awesomeness!

Mokuyobi Threads makes your new favorite patch, hat, and bag. Trust us, they do! Sorry we don't have anything else to say about that.

The Original Nomad makes a portable hot tub that you can pack down to the beach and heat with a driftwood fire. Does it get any better than that? No, it doesn't. They make a variety of styles too, so there is no excuse for you not to love them.

Experience might be the best gift you can give anyone. So book some lessons at Pacific Surf Company and plan a trip to surf Tofino British Columbia. It'll be a real Canadian adventure!
